For
those seeking a pilgrimage tour with a difference, accommodation in
luxury and trekking tents, this is a trip for you. The itinerary is
incredibly varied and interesting. You are taken thorough the gems
of Uttaranchal such as the Haridwar Rishikesh, Shivpuri, Auli and
Badrinath.
No visit to Uttaranchal will be complete without Auli. It is located
amidst glorious mountain enveloped with vast expanses of snow of the
Garhwal Himalayas and offers a panoramic view of Mt. Nanda Devi, Mana
Parvat, Dunagiri, Nilkanth, Hathi Parbat and Kamet. To give you the
full flavor of Uttaranchal, we have included River Rafting in river
Ganges and adventure activities like rappelling, rope courses, rock
climbing, bird watching, nature walk and lots more.
Day by day Itinerary
DAY 01: DELHI - SHIVPURI
Early morning depart to Shivpuri ( 240 kms 6-7 hrs.). Hot lunch at
camp, after wash and refreshments. Indulge in camp activities like
rock climbing, rappelling, nature walk, rope courses etc . Evening
relax and settle in to your comfortable and cosy tents. Time permitted
you can go for a short jungle walk. Campfire & singsong is followed
by a buffet-spread dinner.
Overnight at camp.
DAY 02 : SHIVPURI - AULI
After breakfast drive to Auli ( 270 kms / 08 hrs). Packed lunch
en-route. The most important town on the route, Joshimath is the
spot where the Adiguru Shankracharya attained enlightenment while
sitting under the mulberry tree near his cave. In the cave he wrote
his famous Bhasya which started reclamation of the Hindu religion.
This holy town is full of temples among the other most famous are
the Narsingh and Durga temples.
Dinner and overnight at camp.
DAY 03 : AULI - BADRINATH
After breakfast drive to Badrinath (65 kms / 03 hrs). Packed lunch
en-route. In the afternoon, visit the Badrinarayan Temple which
is one of the holiest shrines of the Hindus. Watch the evening prayer
in the Temple. Legend has it that Badrinath was the home of Lord
Shiva. It was only much later when Lord Vishnu, in his incarnation
as Narayan, made this valley his abode. Watch the evening prayer
at the temple.
Dinner and overnight at Guest house.
DAY 04 : BADRINATH - JOSHIMATH - AULI
After breakfast drive to Joshimath (45kms / 02 hrs). From Joshimath
to Auli take a cable car ride which provides a unique way to connect
between the two places. Hot lunch at camp. After lunch, a hike can
be undertaken into some of the last virgin forests in India. Stroll
through the dense tropical foliage amidst bird sounds and soft sun
rays filtering through the leafy trees.
Dinner and overnight at camp.
DAY 05 : AULI - SHIVPURI
After breakfast drive to Shivpuri (270 kms / 08 hrs). Packed lunch
en-route. Camp fire followed by dinner.
Overnight at camp.
DAY 6 : SHIVPURI - DELHI
Early morning spiritual discourse along with Yoga classes, conducted
under the supervision of an experienced Guru. Yoga is a system of
physical and mental conditioning which leads to cultural and spiritual
unfoldment. Yoga teaches one to accustom ones body to exist in harmony
with one self and ones immediate surroundings. These Yoga sessions
are geared to teach and make you practice several simple exercises
called Asanas which help you design a good exercise schedule
for your daily life.
After breakfast, drive from Shivpuri to Bhrampuri ( 06 kms / 20 min.)
and raft down to Muni Ki Reti in 1-2 hrs. You will float through the
scenic and holy town of Rishikesh before finishing at Muni Ki Reti.
It will provide an unequalled and unforgettable experience. Packed
Lunch en-route. After lunch board your buses to drive to Delhi. En-route
visit Rishikesh & Haridwar.
Sightseeing tour of Rishikesh : Rishikesh has the importance
of being one of India's holiest places besides being the home to
many sacred shrines. In Rishikesh, visit Omkarananda Ashram, Ram
Jhoola and Laxman Jhoola. Later take a walk through the town.
Sightseeing tour of Haridwar. What "see Naples and die"
has meant to people in the west and "see Mecca and Madina"
means to the Muslims - HARIDWAR means the same of every Hindu and
has been a place of pilgrimage since time immemorial. "HARI"
- stands for Lord Krishna and "DWAR" means gateway to.

- Two nights accommodation in luxury tents on twin sharing in
Shivpuri.
