Trek Highlights
Book TourThe forbidden land of LO Manthang (Mustang) is located north of the main Himalayan chain between snow capped mountains on the east and west bordering Tibet.

The land is relatively wide and has leveled ridge towards the north with passes not higher than 4600Mtrs. From Kagbeni travel to Tzug. As you walk towards north the Kali Gandaki valley becomes broader. Trek to Samar and Geling. Cross the Tsarang pass to reach the monastery, which has many frescos of Lord Buddha, Thankas and other sacred objects are reminders of its rich cultural past. After Tsarang the walk to Lo Manthang is short and is dotted with houses and monasteries enclosed in forts.

Kathmandu - Jomson - Khagbeni - Chele - Charang - Lo Mathang - Samar - Ghami - Samar - Jomsom - Kathmandu

Day by day Itinerary

Day 01
Fly Kathmandu to Jomson. Start trek to Khagbeni.

Day 02
Khagbeni - CheleTrek along the eastern bank of the river Kali Ganndaki. At Chele the culture changes from Managi to Tibetan

Day 3 / 4
Chele-Charang - In these days you will cross 2 passes (altitude 3700 and 3600 mt) and arrive at Charang which has Dzong fort and Red sect Gompa.

Day 5 / 7
Arrive LO Mathang the capital of Mustang visit Raja's palace Gompa, Thugn Gompa, Chyodi Gompa and the enterence hall. Arrive wall city of Lo and Spend next two days here visiting

Day 8 / 9
Lo Mathang to Samar via Ghami

Day 10 / 12
Samar to Jomsom

Day 13
Kathmandu
